Custom integration

Can Xperify also integrate custom modules? The answer is yes!

There are 2 options.

External web-based module

The URL is added in the embed module.

External game module (e.g. Unity, VR)

The Remote App Launcher is installed on the PCs. This starts the external module and also listens to the scenario settings on Xperify.

Both can use the file cards in Xperify to integrate information.
If there is a fixed setup that is not integrated into Xperify, the app viewer can be used. This is also a program that ensures that the web application is no longer opened in a Chrome browser, but in kiosk app mode. This ensures that standard gestures such as horizontal swiping are deactivated. Debugging is better and it is advantageous to integrate TCP commands.

Possible options are:

Web app

This solution has the advantage of being very accessible, requiring no installation on the device itself and easy to maintain for updates. The disadvantage is sometimes limited access to the hardware (e.g. camera, GPS,) and no direct access to beacons, Bluetooth and other hardware.

PWA (progressive web app)

It is the same technology as a web app but designed to behave like a native app. Which offers advantages in terms of responsiveness, independent of the operating system (iOS, Android,…), user friendliness, no installation required but still easy to push automatic updates, access to certain hardware,…
