With this functionality, it’s possible to share assets and file cards from an input screen (touchscreen, tablet) to an output screen (videoscreen, videowall, other touchscreen,…)

Each device gets a type:

• input

• input and output

• output

In this way, we can configure which device can communicate whith another device and how the behaviour should be.

How to configure your input screen

1. Go the CMS system

2. Go to exhibit

3. Select ‘commands’ of an input device

4. Click on the tab ‘configuration’

5. There you have 3 options:

   1. share button default off: there is no possibility to share to an output screen

   2. share button default on: You can use a menu button to choose to which output screen you want to share. Only when there is one output device available, there is no need to have a menu button to activate the share, it will share automatically

   3. Share automatically to the first found: when there is only one output device available, there is no need to have a menu button

How to configure your output screen

1. Go to the CMS system

2. Go to exhibit

3. Select ‘commands’ of an output device

4. Click on the tab ‘configuration’

5. Fill in the total resolution of your device.

   1. When your device is a combination of different screens, please count the resolutions together. Example: videowall 2x3 Full HD = total resolution of 3840x3240 pixels

6. Add subdivision: if you want to share to a part of your device, please make subdivisions

   1. Click on the button ‘add subdivision’

      1. Fill in the screen name

      2. The total resolution of your subdivision

      3. the Position (pixels). Het nulpunt ligt in de linkerbovenhoek. X-as naar beneden, y-as naar rechts

How to use the share function in the frontend

As long as you don’t share to an output screen, you can show every module of Xperify instead on the output.

It’s from the moment that you select an asset or file card on your input screen, that you will share to the output screen.

The share will stay active untill the screensaver appears again on the input screen.

When there are more possibilities to share to, there is a menu button on top of everything where you can choose to which device or part of the device you can share with.
